I'm okay with night games the 1st month of the season, but if tv doesn't dictate a night kickoff I'd prefer day games in October/November. I'm with ya - whatever happened to the 1PM kick?

No time works for everyone, obviously, but i can see the frustration for some that we havent had a single afternoon game yet. That said, i'll much prefer a 6pm game to an 11am game. 11am games are the worst.

Re: Baylor Kickoff at 6 p.m.
I was really hoping for a 1PM kick. I'm in the boat with the small kids. My inlaws probably aren't going to be too happy about watching a 3 month old until midnight.

Wah, wah, wah.
Love the night game. Gives me time to do stuff in the morning before tailgating. Mid-day games kill the entire day because of tailgating in the morning, game, then afterwords I am too pooped to do anything else.
The atmosphere at night games >> day games.

Re: Baylor Kickoff at 6 p.m.
The game could still be on TV. FCS (or one of the other FSN channels) can still pick the game up. The gametime being 6 means that it probably will be picked up!

5 year olds at 9:30 when the game ends are not going to be a whole lot of fun for anyone anywhere near them. It is doable, but afternoon games are much more family friendly.

Or maybe a lot of people are just stating opinions and personal preferences. I think that afternoon games are better because they are more family friendly, especially for those who live farther away.
Having said that, I'll still be in my seat for the full 4 quarters on Oct. 17, no matter what time the game is.

I wonder what the utility bill is to run the stadium lighting.
There is no VB or soccer going on that day. Maybe other homecoming activities?
I try hard to understand the infatuation with playing college FB at night as opposed to playing in daylight on a crisp fall afternoon. Other than getting on TV, I just don't see it.
