DirecTV cut Versus - Bad News for ISU

Dear DirecTV members,

Iowa State will play the next (2) games on Versus (@Kansas and Baylor). Unfortunatly, a large number of TV viewers will not be able to watch this game because DirecTV cut Versus from its program. Being a Big 12 fan, I'm not happy. I would rather have them cut the Big 10 Network instead.

Versus is owned by cable company's. I have cable now. I got it because ISU plays to many games on Mediacom and Versus.

Easy to find it at a bar/restaurant/friend's house....really not that big of deal.

You may be right, but that still doesn't convince me to switch from DirecTV.

Direct cut them because they wanted too much money. You are going Versus once a year is it worth a higer cable bill for that?

DishNetwork just added Versus and ESPNu to my package. I'm usually not happy with my choice of Dish over Direct, but it's looking better.

This. I was pleasantly surprised to see both of them added at no extra cost.

Mediacom has versus. You won't be seeing Versus on Direct for a long time. WEC is on versus and they are going to be shopping for a new cable deal because Dana White thinks it's will be a while before Versus is on Direct T.V. again.

DirecTV is giving out NHL center ice discounts/freebies for people that call to complain about losing versus. This makes me think they are not expecting it back for a while if at ever.

I just called Directv and complained, and they gave me $5 off of the Sports Pack for 6 months. I was already getting the Sports Pack for free, so that's a good deal.

Still mad that I won't get to see the game this weekend, though.
