How can every reciever seem to always wide open? The tight end, and everyone who wants to be open is? Are our coverage schemes that bad? The safeties seem to always have to worst angle, going back to sims coverage of brandon banks last weekend. The corners are virtually non-existent and the pressure on the qb is about as bad as our non-conference mens bball opponents the past few seasons. Outside of the progress made by the offense, our D has taken too many steps backwards

They are playing an experenced team. They also are playing the best offense they have all year. This team lacks a pass rush and it will be an issue all year we all knew that, so why act like it is a suprise they cannot get one.

Well it's not like our defense was suppose to be good this year. We knew it was going to be a struggle, and you have to give kansas credit, reesing is a great qb, and the KU offense is really good. Don't fool yourself. Does it suck watching KU have a field day with our dbacks? Yes, it pisses me off watching Meier open everytime, but **** happens move on.

You cant have a good defense if you dont blitz the QB look at the Denver broncos last year. They never blitzed and the opposing qb owned the secondary. now they blitz and use confusion and magically they are the #1 defense.

Its hard to do anything when your front 4 struggle to get a pass rush.

The line doesnt have to pass rush they just have to take up bodys and let the blitzing linebacker/corner take care of the pass blitz.

Blitzing is stupid if you still can't get to the quarterback. When we blitzed today, they picked it up. Iowa doesn't blitz much, and I would take their defense.

You have to be kidding. Kansas has one hell of an offense, and we had NO pass rush. Eventually someone will get open after 7 seconds! Even Texas's D-backs couldn't cover KUs receivers for 7 seconds!

When the Oline doesnt have to double team anyone that frees up one lineman and a RB to pickup the blitz. We sorta need the CBs in coverage.

please show me a good defense that just sits back and wait for the offense. every good defense is an aggressive one. they force the offense to make mistakes.
