NCAA College Football Power Rankings Week 6 - ESPN

In discussing Kansas's place in the Power Rankings, they referred to us as "resilient". Coming from ESPN, I'll take it. The never quit attitude of this team is going to help us in the future, as long as we have some stability in the program.

It is nice to see us having the ability to pull an upset, even if we did fall just short. It seems like, in the past, we didn't have that capability very often.

If we don't win this weekend, we are no different than the past Iowa State. We win this weekend, there will be plenty of reason to get excited for the future.

If we get the win this week, I will be very, very impressed with the coaching staff and the program.

Coming off the very tough loss to KSU, the team and staff showed a great attitude on the road against a team that could have run us off the field.

If they can bounce back from another tough defeat, that says all I need to know about the future of ISU FB under CPR.

You know, I thought something similar before the Kansas game. I thought, if we get shelled by 30+, we are no different that in the past. I am pleased that they shook of the crap loss to KSU like they did. I have hopes that they will build on the KU loss as well. Thus showing their "resilient" nature.

I do agree with this 100%. "Moral victories" are worthless without some kind of pay off in the future. I would like to see us play like the 2007 KSU game following the near upset of OU.

I think its less about "moral" victories...or even final scores. Its about how well this team plays. Does anyone doubt that this year's ISU team would whip last years? I don't think it would even be close. Last years team was disorganized, had low morale, couldn't tackle and its coaching staff was clueless. This year's squad has made quantum improvements in every one of those categories.

I was watching their college football review last night. They were going through our game and showing some decent plays. Of course the last play they showed was the overthrow. The last thing they said was about ISU. "They've got some talent up there." It's not all doom and gloom.

I don't care about "moral" victories, but we need to contibue to progress, to show improvement week to week. The offense started to come together last week, now it's time for another step. Forward, and not back.

Nice comment. Nice to hear that from the National Media. Two tough losses here.....but not all is lost. Got to go out there and prove it to Baylor and smoke 'em......Homecoming baby!
