But I'd stay away from the "until they leave the Big X12" smack. There's more talk about ISU being a school out these days than Baylor and it's for a very simply reason . . . ISU adds absolutely nothing to the conference. But then, somebody has to be the 12th school, or the conference couldn't be called the Big 12. Right? As has been well documented, ISU has done more in MBB and football over the last decade than Baylor has in the past two decades. Three conference titles in MBB and three trips to the NCAA. In football we have been to 5 bowl games, won two of them, have a divisional title, and have beaten more Big 12 south teams than Baylor has spite only playing three teams from that division a year.
Maybe you are a women's sports fan. WBB, Baylor is better, but ISU is still consistently one of the best teams in the conference and is always the best team in the North. Actually, ISU has been to just as many tournaments and has won just as many conference titles as Baylor.
We have now covered the three most popular sports in the NCAA and ISU has clearly out preformed Baylor. What has Baylor done that is so wonderful? Nothing!

Texas 99

Texas Tech 9 So are you trying to say that ISU should be kicked out before Baylor because you have more conference titles overall?
That is a pathetic excuse. Based on that, maybe we should get rid of Texas Tech, they add absolutely nothing to this conference
Seriously, the 3 most popular sports in the NCAA are Football, MBB, and WBB. We have out preformed you in the first two and have done just as well on the third. There is not a sport out there, aside from the three I just mentioned, where a school or conference can even hope to make a profit. That is the true test on whether a school contributes.

The numbers don't lie. Baylor has clearly added more to the Big 12 than Iowa State in the two main sports. winner winner. chicken fettucini dinner.

The funniest thread of the year was the Arnaud>Griffin thread. Then came 11 turnover's in 2 games. I expect ISU to play a good game this weekend in a nail biter, but your arrogance is laughable.

One thing's for sure, Arnaud will be better than Griffin this Saturday. And that's all that matters to us. Good chance ISU never sees him again after that.

You've got a point....except for that last sentence. 2 gold medalists in the last olympics (track), and not to mention one of the best track programs of all time. A WBB national championship isn't something to brag about in this thread....but both of those things mentioned are SOMETHING contributed. Neither team should be kicked out of the Big 12 and shouldn't even be mentioned. KState, IMO. At least our schools have academic standards, and tradition in at least a couple sports.
Snyder and Beasley = KState temporary relevance.

ISU has been a part of this conference for how many years? How long has BU been around? Its sad that someone is dumb enough to even think this. Having said that, if recent history means anything Baylor will have its best offensive game of the year. If the ISU O from the KU game shows up I think that ISU has a chance to win. This game was a huge disappointment last year, hopefully AA and ARob will step up to the plate. A little pressure on the QB from the D would be nice too!

Snyder and Beasley = KState temporary relevance. Outside of 2005, your WBB program really hasn't done anything significant. You got it and you should be proud, but at the end of the day it is WBB. I like WBB and follow ISU WBB more than our MBB, but it is still WBB. As for you gold medalists, ISU has had allot of them as well. I believe our last was in Athens, but there have been dozens before him. Neither argument holds any weight though.
I don't think Baylor should go, I was responding to a Baylor fan that said that ISU is on the chopping block ahead of Baylor because we are useless. The fact is that ISU has done way more than Baylor has and the idea that ISU is a nobody and Baylor is a somebody is laughable.

I still think we win going away because I was not impressed by Baylor. I also agree with that one poster, the weather will be a factor.

The sentence I quoted implies that if you were to put all of Baylor's third string players in that they could hang with ISU's first stringers.
I fail to see the arrogance in my post.

Re: Look like you have two teams in the same situation
Going back to the pasting by Baylor last season, it's pretty well documented that Chizik did not have this team ready to play going into Waco last year. I don't know whether he thought Baylor was just going to roll over from his experiences as a coordinator at Texas or if he had already begun sniffing the Auburn job, but the point is the team was not ready for Baylor last year, and it showed. Was Baylor better than us last year? Possibly. Were they 38-3 better than us? Most certainly not, at least if the team had come out ready to play.

Re: Look like you have two teams in the same situation
Where would the Big 12 be without Baylor's 35k fans a game? I mean they obviously care soooooo much.
-
Re: Look like you have two teams in the same situation
Queue up the picture of those ISU fans Tailgating 2 hours before the game in Waco with no other cars in the parking lot.......If that doesn't scream Big 12 Football.
Lets just drop this. This is like comparing Horse Crap with Cow Crap. ISU has had 3 coaches in 4 years so you have to cut them some slack on that also. Until ISU gets there team built and get familiar with the playbook they are going to keep losing games.
Make sure you don't call the charge. But make sure you call the foul on the scrum.... -
