A&M Game
Alright so my buddies and I are planning on making the trek to college station in a couple weeks. I was wondering if we should get tickets before or get them there? Is there any tickets left through Iowa State? Thanks!

Re: A&M Game
We ordered 6 tickets last week @ $60/piece. Not sure who through, but they were VERY good seats. 8 rows up from the 20 yard line across from the press box. I would get them before hand, knowing what a big deal games in College Station are. My guess is that purchasing tickets on game day will require paying more than face value.

My guess is that there will be plenty to scalp with A&M being average.

Re: A&M Game
Interesting, A&M's Schedule. They are on the road for (2) weeks, play ISU, on road for (2) more weeks. That could drive up the demand for AM tix's only playing (1) home game in the next 5 weeks. If they lose to KSU, I'm guessing there will be a lot of tix available.

@Texas Tech

I would assume you are all driving down there?

Re: A&M Game
Get them through ISU if you can. It's nice to sit in a see of Cardinal & Gold in one of the craziest and loudest stadiums. I was there last time that we played there and Blythe had 4 tds. It was awesome. The people are the nicest bunch of fans in the Big 12 so please represent us well and be good to them.

Going out in Houston Thursday/Friday and College Station Saturday (we have a hotel there). For Halloween, the 4 of us driving down are going as the guys form the Hangover.

1. Have fun - the people were all really nice, and i sat in an A&M season ticket holder's seats on the 40 yd line (know a girl that went there) and everyone was really respectful, even with me going crazy during Blythe's game. Tailgating isn't as nuts as it is other places, but good representation.
2. Great costume idea - but if you really want to do Halloween perfectly, drive over to Austin Saturday night and hit up that place. Wow - Halloween. It's like Mardi Gras. It's nuts.
3. You have to leave by Thurs morning if you're planning on getting to Houston to go out Thurs night... 15 hrs from Ames (11 hrs Ames to Dallas, cut over to 45 South to Houston and another 4 hrs).

A&M doesn't believe their avg despite the world and the media. If they beat K-State and somehow beat Texas Tech (they won't)....that crowd will be sold out.
If they win this weekend, buy your tickets before hand. They still see y'all as a sure win, and they'll pack the house b/c of it. And please beat the **** out of them.

Re: A&M Game
What sections comprise the visitors section at Kyle Field?

Well, we figured we'd give CS a go saturday. I know Austin is crazy, but one of the guys with us has some experience in College Station, and we already have a hotel there. As far as Houston, the other 3 guys I'm with went down there for spring break last year, so they know the drive. Odds are we won't get there till later Thursday night and would just drink at our friend's place.
Thanks for all the advice though. We're really looking forward to the Kyle Field experience.

Re: A&M Game
I just got done calling the A&M ticket office. The main visitors sections are 147, 148, and 149. They also have some visitor spots on the other side in sections 100 and 101. Phone number for the ticket office is 979-845-2311.
They told me they still have plenty of tickets available at $60 each in those sections. For my wife, son, and I (who are driving down from Dallas) - I'm thinking about section 146 which is right adjacent to our I-State section but slightly better seats.
Also, I agree with a previous poster that A&M fans are the best hosts in the Big 12. I've been every game I-State has ever played there and even when we had the big win in '05 the fans were still incredibly gracious both before and after the game.

Make sure you stop by Northgate. If you're looking for a Texas woman...that's where you'll find some of the best. And the bar scene is actually alot of fun in down there.
