Register on Arnaud
I haven't seen this posted before, but when I picked up the DMR today, there was some surprisingly good Cyclone coverage--have to give credit where credit is due. This is the football article (two good media day hoops articles): ISU football: QB Arnaud adapts to new playbook, coaches once again | DesMoinesRegister.com | The Des Moines Register "Hey! I'm building something here!"

Re: Register on Arnaud
Some of those Hawk homers that post on the Register's articles are total hate-mongering pansies. I don't know why I bother read the comments... or at times the article! But that was a good read on Arnaud's transition.

Awesome quote.

Awesome quote. Indeed. A nicely written article that clarifies a great deal.

Awesome quote. Always thought this about him, A. The offensive line B. The offense. When do you ever get sacked big guy? Take your time and find the right guy Austen

Take your time and find the right guy Austen That's a good point. The guy is going to have plenty of time almost every time. Just make the right call and tear these teams apart.

I really like how the Register removed the comments from the body of the article, and made it so you actually have to click on the comment section to read them. In the past, even though I knew how bad they would be, I just had to read them even though I knew how bad they would be (kind of like the Family Circus, sitting there in the corner, just waiting to suck). Most of the time I completely avoid the comments now, because the few times I actually do click to read them, it just makes me feel dirty.

I don't even realize the ignorance is there anymore. (Well, except for some of the articles.)
