Chase Harper or James Kohler
Any word on these two guys? Chase would be a great d-end.

Harper is a tight end. Kohler is a baseball player. That's why we're recruiting other HS o-linemen like Graham and Loth.

Kohler is not going to play baseball in college.
If you think that you already know it all, why ask?

Everything I've heard says Kohler wants to play baseball at Grinnell.

There was talk about Harper playing def. when Gene was recruting him.
I'm asking about Kohler because there was a couple post last month that said, he might announce what his plans are for the future this month.
Is this alright with you Aclone?

Is this alright with you Aclone? Harper went Juco and has made a very good TE. Wherever he goes, he is going to be a tight end. Just because out of high school the staff was looking at him at multiple positions, does not mean any staff is now.
Everything about Kohler is pointing him at baseball.

Harper plays tight end at JUCO, so thats purely speculation on your part that he would move to DE.... and its been known for a while that Kohler is all most certainly playing baseball in college

Well I guess we have some good news then. Honestly, I was chalking him up as a probable loss. Hopefully he decides to jump on board.
If he does want to play football for ISU, the staff would take him.

It is too bad that he didn't give ISU a real shot since he signed with us out of HS. He could have been a good weapon in this offense.
Talks about him moving to DE do not really make much sense. As a JuCo he would have very little time to make the transition to D. He would probably only be effective as a senior in that case and that might not be worth it. I have a feeling he really wants to play TE in D1 and will not go anywhere that wants to switch his position. Just my opinion.

Re: Chase Harper or James Kohler
He is GOOD and would be in great hands under Herman and his offense.
He would be the elite Tight End he is capable of here.
We got some really impressive TE's coming already, so I'm still confident.
