Re: Sedrick Johnson
If he is injured that is one thing. However, The coaches wouldn't put him in, though, knowing he is incapable of getting off a jam, running full speed, getting open, etc.
So, since he is playing, thus I ask the question: Whats the deal?

As long as we win games and are able to put up over 400 total yards offense, I don't care who catches the ball anyway. It's so nice to have multiple weapons!

Way too early to write him off. I'm really rooting for him to turn it on and I'm sure he will once hes able to get more physical.

He still has time and potential, we do have receivers galore and not all are gonna have 50+ yards, its the beauty of the offense. We spread it to everyone, hence why we call it the spread, the defense should never know who is getting the ball. We had complaint after complaint some years back about Barney cotton and the conservative playcalling. Embrace what we have. Yeah sed isn't flourishing at this point but who knows what we'll be saying next year or even next week.

Where in my post did I call him out? According to reports Sedrick suffered a sprained ankle against NDSU. I think and want the young man to have a great career at ISU and he has the talent but fans here like to deny what is reality and reality is right now he's not producing, could be technique or not gelling with the system yet but Sedrick is not playing very well and I think it's due more than just the ankle injury. As for the injury, listen to Pulse.
Groin on a running back sucks but A-Rob is not being stuck at the line of scrimmage or cutting to get open for a pass like Sed would be.
If Sed's injury is still on the ankle he hurt to start the year then I will buy that he has been ineffective because of it. A high ankle sprain is a lot like a groin injury. It will linger for a long time. Would we be saying the same thing about the players if the injuries were reversed and Arob has a sprained ankle and Sedrick has a bad groin?

Hamilton did not start even remotely as slow as Sedrick has. Originally Posted by Clone5 AA can't throw his way because Sed can't get off jam coverage. Yup. The guy simply does not get open. The receiver lineup should be Hamilton, Williams, Lenz and Darks, in that order. I'd rather have Catlett in there over other guys that are simply not producing.
And I really wish we could get Houston Jones back on the field.

For whatever reason, it looks like the young man has just lost his confidence and his "want to". He obviously has the physical tools. The staff needs to find a way to get him going.

Re: Sedrick Johnson
If he is injured, as all of you say, and that injury is affecting his play this much...why is he playing?
-
Re: Sedrick Johnson
As was said, the nature of the injury allows him to be on the field, but his effectiveness is greatly reduced. This isn't speculation.
