1) We're not getting any DL prospects. I love that height in the middle of the line. If he can get his hands up, that's a really destructive prospect to a passing game.
2) We're not getting any Iowa kids.
3) I thought somebody posts, like you said, that Ankeny wasn't a Cyclone recruiting ground, that Pezzetti pushed people towards Iowa. Apparently, we can go in there and get somebody, so that's nice.

Good Get... we NEED to be pulling the D-I talent from Ankeny as they usually have one or two every year...

40 yard dash time is REALLY important for DL.
Ill take a guy who is quick off the ball for 5 yards.

Welcome to ISU Brandon. Glad to have you on board. Hope you can stop the run and disrupt the middle.
Also, are we completely sure he's going to be a DL?

If we need Jensen to run 40 yards and catch an opposing offensive player, the rest of the defense is not doing their job.
The most important thing for DL is their first step, explosiveness, and technique.
I don't think this guy has even been evaluated by the recruiting sites yet, so don't get hung up on stars. In my opinion, if the staff gave him an outright offer, they see something in him.
Was Jensen a highly regarded player in Iowa as a junior, or has he taken it to a new level this year? Just wondering.
I for one am glad to see that we got a good player from Ankeny. With CPR's history there, I would like to think that we have will have our pick of the best Ankeny players in the future.

Re: Ankeny's Brandon Jensen Commits to ISU
Ankeny's stud running back Tyler Leo is also interested in ISU and knowing the family I would guess we would get him if we offer. He has also played some d-back and would likely end up a safety or receiver. Ankeny also has a great kicker that's only a sophomore, and I would wager CPR will end any pipeline to Iowa.
