We did a few years ago, where the students got them for free. That was when it looked awesome bc the entire student section was the same color, however the rest of the crowd, not so well.
And in Ames this only works for one of the first few games of the season. Hard to get everyone to wear cardinal in November when they'll have it covered up by Carharts and Columbias.
Why would the school want some kind of unity? Afterall, that is why they sell green, pink, brown, blue, etc. Iowa State Shirts. We are a very diverse Univeristy.

I think if we ever get to the stage that we have a nationally televised primetime game that the athletics department needs to step up and give free shirts/sweatshirts or something to every fan so we can have everybody in the same color. It looks incredibly cool.
Growing in Northern California I would sometimes make it Cal and they always all wear the same color they will not allow you into the student section. If those hippies in Berkely can do it there should be no reason why the student section here in Ames couldn't do the same.
We do Cardinal, red, off red, off Cardinal, Maroon, Slightly Maroon with a dash of red, Deep dark Maroon Outs.
We could try it but we have to many colors of red and Maroon that we are dealing with at the moment.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.
