Well, if you consider what happened at the beginning of the season with Boise St. and Oregon and how much press that got... I'm sure it is more of a reaction in regards to that incident than anything else.
It wasnt a punch either, it was a shove and maybe a slap to the helmet. If you saw the replay he gets taken out by the Nebraska guy when the play was pretty much over, he had a reason to be PO'd
The sad part is that I doubt that it happens if it had been the only extra curricular incident, but NE had been pushing the limit of chippy hits down field all day. They seemed to pick it up as the game progressed and they seemed to act like they could turn the game with physical play. James finally hit his breaking point and now must pay the price for his reaction.
