I saw flashes of Seneca when he would scramble.... and I got goose bumps!
Just to think he is only a FRESHMAN, and he led a us to victory in Lincoln, very excited about this kids future
Not sure if the Seneca "run" comparisons are fair, but the guy got one of the most important "W's" in our history and I will never forget that. Tiller....GREAT WORK BUDDY!!!
Didn't really see the Seneca glimpses, but he won the game.
Would have liked to see his arm a lil more, and I thought he ran it too much on third and long.
That being said, he did get his first start in Memorial Stadium and WON. Impressive is an understatement. Can't be too many other QBs that can say that
It's hard to read much into how he performed today because of the amazing Nebraska D-line and our injuries and sicknesses but he did manage the game decently for us. He really needs to work on his throwing fundamentals but it looks like he has all the tools. It will be fun to see it all come together for him.
What jumped out to me as impressive were several plays on the read options where he kept it and a defender appeared to have the angle to take away the corner. He seemed to have an extra gear to turn the corner and get up field. Too often you see guys with great speed who have trouble turning the corner. They either get forced wide and out of bounds or they have to slow down to make the cut upfield.
What I see as the most impressive stat for him after the 0 turnovers is the fact that in the 4th quarter he went 5-6 in passing and our offense (with 4 freshman on the field most of the time) held the ball for 12:40. Great job by everyone!!
Marv Seiler? I'm 24 yrs old btw...lol
I LOVE the Cyclones!
Still can't believe we won IN LINCOLN without our starting QB and RB, and had two redshirt freshmen in their place. Way to go guys!
I liked the way he was running. Very hard. Put his head down to get those 2-3 extra yards.
Terry Rubley with a surrounding cast of Dexter Green, Mike Stensrud, Tom Randall, Craig Volkens, Mark Settle, Dick Cuvelier, Cal Cummins and many more...
