How we can win the Big 12 North
Well, I made this and this is what has to happen for us to win the big 12 north.
Kansas State- Needs to go 1-3 in next 4 games
@Oklahoma - Loss
Kansas - Loss(i hope)
Missouri - Win
@Nebraska - Loss
Kansas- Needs to go 3-2 or worse in next 5 games
@ Texas Tech - Loss?
@ K-State - Win
Nebraska - Win
@ Texas - Loss
Missouri - Win
Nebraska- Needs to go 3-2 or worse in next 5 games
@Baylor - Win
Oklahoma - Loss
@ Kansas - Loss
K-state - Win
@ Colorado - Win
Colorado - Need to go 3-2 or worse in next 5 games
Missouri - Win?
A&M - Win?
@ISU - Loss
@OK state - Loss
Nebraska - Loss
Mizzou - Need to go 4-1 or worse in next 5 games
@Colo - Loss?
Baylor - Win
@K-State - Loss(Hopefully they win so they help us out)
ISU - Loss
KU- Loss
ISU - Need to go 3-1 in next 4 games
@ A&M - Win
Okie State - Loss
Colorado - Win
@ Mizzou - Win
If this happens, ISU will go 5-3 and win the division. Like i said, missouri plays against some of our contenders and mizzou is almost already out of the race so hopefully they can upset K-State or Kansas.

Hopefully Mizzou gets really down on themselves and packs it in at the end of the year.

I think K-State splits 2-2 and wins it at 5-3 unless we win out (doubtful).

While that would be amazing to get the North I'm sure CPR is thinking the right way - one game at a time. Let's go take care of A&M and keep letting the chips fall where they may.

We could go 4-0 or 0-4 in our remaining games. Let's just take them 1 at a time and see what happens.

Need I remind you Mizzou is 0-3 (KSU has them at home). KU is no world beater (KSU has them at home).
They will lose to OU...no question. At Nebraska is anyone's guess.
I hate KSU though...really bad, but they have the advantage right now unfortunately.

Re: How we can win the Big 12 North
Wow..I wonder what people would be saying if K-State or ISU won the North?
Could you imagine if ISU (predicted to be one of the worst teams in the country) in 2009
1. Got to Play at Arrowhead
2. Won @ Nebraska, @ A&M, @ Mizzou
3. Won the North?
4. Then Got to play at the most impressive Football Stadium in the world for a chance to go to the Fiesta Bowl?
5. Probably worst case if lose the championship game would be the Holiday or Alamo.
All with a first year coach and 2 losses that we probably should have had? That is the kind of stuff that gets your south endzone built and a fanbase back.
Anyway.....Its fun to think about, but with A&M figuring themselves out all the sudden I have gotten nervous again. I will be happy with 6 wins (as long as its a bowl game)
Make sure you don't call the charge. But make sure you call the foul on the scrum.... -
Re: How we can win the Big 12 North
We probably need 2 more wins to get a bowl game. 6-6 does not guarantee anything.

I hate KSU though...really bad, but they have the advantage right now unfortunately. Yeah, KSU got a lucky flip of the schedule this year, damn them...you're right. Mizzou caught some bad breaks (and has had a tougher schedule so far). KU will be all over KSU, OU is a loss, and who knows about NU, I would say they could get it done in their own house. Let's just say that all of these teams remaining are going to be looking at their game against KSU as a good opportunity.

Re: How we can win the Big 12 North
So what happens to KSU if they do finish 5-3 and win the North. That would put them at 7 wins right? But don't they have 2 wins agains 1-AA? How does that work out if they were to lose the Title game? They would only have 6 wins right?

They would have 6 games that counted for a bowl, but their stock would be up and would probably go to one they don't have any business being in.
