    preaching about how local kid and walkons wont do anything for a program and ISU must only get out of state players.

    Seriously... I don't care if a kid is from Iowa or Alaska or if he is a walk on or 5 star... as long as he can pay football, or develop into a great player.

    Well you certainly can't build a team from Iowa. I guess I thought that was common knowledge. Look at the guys who made plays for us yesterday. Lenz on a screen that helped with field position, Jake the Snake, Jesse and Michael O'Connell. Solid job by Iowa kids.

    Anyone who thinks you can build up a program without players like Jesse Smith and Williams or Lenz as a foundation are fooling themselves. There was alot of groaning and grumbling when Rhodes was named coach and how he made clear he was from Iowa and considered getting local players a priority along with the out of staters.
