not at all. If A-Rob\Arnaud are in next week, and we'd lost this game, we couldve chalked it up to those two being out and moved on.

I had a girl texting me when she was watching the GameCast on ESPN. They couldn't refresh it fast enough for me.
I dropped the f-bomb several times before I could gain my composure. Then I stopped and listened to my neighbors yell for a good 5 minutes. Then I listened to the guy across the street scream for a while. It was awesome.
Any fan who has been around this program for any length of time is going to be skeptical of their ability to win in games like this one. You don't have to look that far back (KU last season) to know that this team has traditionally lacked the killer instinct to put games away squarely. I've struggled for years debating if it was a coaching issue or a "between the ears" problem.
I won't lie, my mind was running scenarios as to how we'd blow it in that last possession. Would it be a screen pass taken all the way to the house? A skinny post that turns our backup safety around? Stupid penalties to put them in FG range? Seriously, my brain was thinking of all the ways possible to lose the game.
If I hadn't been watching the game at a friend's house, I would have shut it off for that last possession. No joke.
I was sure they were going to kick a game winning field goal.
I was thinking the same thing. He played in the spread in HS and at ISU. I was worried until the last snap. And when NU had the ball, I was sure that they were going to get a FG. That being said, I was not going to get that kicked in the balls feeling because I thought ISU played a good game without AA and ARob, so if they lost, it wasn't going to hurt as bad as that KSU loss.
I thought we were going to get our ***** handed to us!!
Sure I did.
The last time I remember feeling similar was in 1998 when I was at Kinick Stadium and we beat Iowa. You were just used to the other team coming back and kicking you in the nuts. That's the way it felt watching this game at Lincoln.
That's what made it so much sweeter when we won the game!
What a great game. Will never forget it just as I've never forgotten that fall day in Iowa City 11 years ago.
We don't make that final pick... it looked like it was going to be a completion. That could've easily turned into a FG.
On an earlier note... (and I can't find it anymore) I hope many of you remember back before the season started, I was the Kool~aid drinker saying, "ISU will be 7-0 heading into the Nebraska game." Many CFers told me I was crazy... ok, maybe I was... but look how close that is to being true! I never predicted an ISU victory yesterday, but I'm just happy with the results!
I admit I was thinking before Nebraska's last drive that causing 7 turnovers and still losing on a last second field goal because of a blocked extra point earlier in the game would be another new and creative way for the cyclones to lose. I did a lot of screaming and jumping after Jesse's interception but I don't think I fully exhaled until after Tiller's last kneel down. I just couldn't bring myself to believe it until I saw all zeros on the clock. God it was beautiful.
I did. After the second to last interception, when we ran the ball and punted again, I thought "this is it ! Another heartbreaking loss".
I'm so proud of the team - they found a way to win. I don't care if people say we're lucky. Remember the old saying" Fortis Fortuna Juvat - Fortune Favors the Brave !"
