According to Jason Whitlock of the Kansas City Star, it would be an "embarrassment" if Iowa State would win the Big 12 North.
Enjoy.

Before people get really ****** just realize it's Whitlock's job to get people angry.
Thank you for posting that and wasting a few minutes of my life. He probably wants to get a rise out of his readers, so I won't comment.
Jason Whitlock is such a tool. Nobody likes the guy, especially in the KC area.
So lets embarrass the north.
Jason Whitlock is hack and always will be. I don't take anything he has to say seriously.
We just need to keep winning and and not worry about what other people are saying. And yes this is what Whitlock does he has made a career out of it.
I would venture to guess he saw the KSU game. Totally different team right now in my mind.
I hope we embarrass the Big 12 North!
The Cyclones are a total of seven points away from being 7-1, and the only game that ISU clearly was outmatched in was from a quality Hawkeye team.
Iowa State is a solid football team. We are only starting to see the fruits of their potential. The rest of the season hinges on the savvy of coaching staff and the confidence of the players who have shown their athleticism and ability to win.
I don't agree with Whitlock that it would be an "embarrassment." Certainly that wouldn't be the case from an ISU perspective.
That said, he is correct in that the Big 12 North winner will most likely have a 4-4 record, 5-3 at best. That team will match up against an undefeated Texas team, or a one loss OSU team. And be 2-3 TD underdogs.
This has happened twice before in 2004 and 2005 (the 2 years ISU could and should have played in the Big 12 title game.)
OU defeated Colorado 42-3 in 2004. Texas hammered Colorado 70-3 in 2005. Would the Big 12 want that scenario to happen again? I would guess not. A Texas-OSU matchup, or a Texas-OU matchup would be perceived a lot better nationally. It's unfortunate, but true.
Again.........A healthy AROB and I am not so sure we are not 7-1 right now. So if ISU wins out (9-3) and has 2 losses mostly due to above statement and the other to a top 4 team.....how would that be embarrassing? (I am not saying we win out I am just using it for an example)
I think we really need to win our next 2 games to shut some people up.
Sounds eerily similar to what he said about our basketball team in Floyd's second year that went on to win the Big 8 tourny.
