One game at a time. As much as I like the grit and determination of the Clones, they are still not a great team and any games they win will most likely be closely contested.

That's asking a little much. Don't you know he is basically the devil for running the Iowa State site on the Rivals network? What a terrible guy, how dare he not work for free?

All of these people who think it is just terrible that Iowa State has a pay rivals site might want to stop and think for a second. Recruits are high school kids, and many of them are looking themselves up, reading stories on themselves, etc. If a Big 12 school like Iowa State did not have a Rivals site, we would look small-time to many of the recruits, especially those from a long way from Iowa who aren't that familiar with the school (i.e. most of the recruits we land).

Also, many don't seem to have very good reading comprehension... they are constantly stating that they get all of the recruiting news from Cyclone Fanatic. Apparently they don't notice that Chris begins almost every story on a new committment with "Paul Clark at Cyclone Report is reporting..." or "Greg Ohlson at Cyclone Sports Report is reporting...."

Seriously, think about if for a second.

Ahhh, the Cyclonereport\Paul Clark borg have arrived.

He does good with the recruiting side... but there are some that think him and his site are the end all be all of cyclone sites and for cyclone information (and when CF does break something, they *must* have stolen it from CR)

I apologize for my posts full of simple facts. I have actually come to assimilate you.... personally I think the childish bickering about one site or another is freaking pathetic. Sorry but I can't help but laugh at people who think Iowa State having a pay Rivals site is somehow a bad thing.... I guess being the only BCS school without a Rivals site would somehow be good for our athletic program? Can't see how.

You have been typing exactly what I've been thinking. You are too quick for me!

In my opinion the two sites are different in so many ways. What one lacks the other does well and vice/versa.

When was the last time a bowl prediction at this time of season being right? However if the BCS matchups turn out the way they predict it would be very interesting matchups to watch.

I have to agree with this. What I find most troubling is that these “pay for information” sights position themselves as the only source for information and go so far as to call it “confidential”. And this so called self proclaimed confidential information is forbidden to be shared or passed along publically outside of their little realm – When, In fact, they obtain the overwhelmingly amount of information just like all the others via public interviews and official press releases.

How anyone can take free public information, package it and call it confidential in order to sell it is criminal in my mind. How anyone in their right mind would subscribe to this info and pay for it is beyond me.

Not knowing much about either site, I would (from a logic stand point) have to agree with CloneIce. How could it be bad for their to be as many sites as possible reporting on our beloved Cyclones. The more press the better for recruiting, right?

When was the last time ISU was in the discussion when it comes to bowl games? A bunch of chip on their shoulder overacheivers and a passionate coach, sounds like a winning mixture. Before the season I would have been surprised if the Clones made a bowl. Now I would be surprised if we don't make a bowl. Go Clones!!!!

The way I look at this, ISU is one win from becoming bowl eligible with 4 games left, including a 2-5 Colorado team at home. At this point you can't predict ISU not to go to a bowl game. If your a Cyclone fan, you can be cautiously optimistic, but if your a writer you have to like ISU's chances.

Whether you believe that the Cyclones are going to win the North or not, that is up to debate because right now it is anybodies show (I personally believe Kansas will win), but if your not predicting ISU to go bowling, you don't know what your talking about.

Right now, it looks like the Big 12 will likely get 7 bowls. I think that 4 South teams will go bowling leaving 3 for the north. KSU and Colorado will not become bowl eligible, Colorado is in too deep of a hole and KSU needs 7 wins to become eligible and their toughest schedule remains. Kansas will get one bowl unless a complete meltdown happens there.

That leaves ISU, Missouri and Nebraska to battle for the two remaining spots. Both teams are currently behind the Cyclones and one already has a loss to ISU, the other one has lost three straight games by 101-36.
