Live from Rhoads Presser...AA & Stephens Should Play

Coach just confirmed that he expects both Reggie Stephens and Austen Arnaud to play against Oklahoma State on Saturday.

Will post more notes later on this afternoon. He seems very optimistic about both situations though.

Says that Stephens' situation is all based on pain tolerance. The doctors have assured the coaching staff that his injury will not worsen.

I really hope he's right about Austen and not just blowing smoke for Gundy to prepare for him. We need him to get to a bowl.

I would be REALLY surprised if Stephens plays much, but I thought Alvarez did a great job filling in. I would rather have Stephens there, but I'm worried it's just not going to happen this week.

We need Arnaud back in the worst way. Tiller has done a great job of managing the games but AA gives us much more of a passing threat right now.

Yeah, getting to a bowl, any bowl would be huge for a team learning new systems. We need the extra practice time above all else.

Don't think Arnaud will play. No inside info, just a feeling. Rhoads was asked at press conference before A&M if AA's hand was broken and he totally dodged the question.

No. Get in there and win the last 3 games. That is the objective. What is this just win one more crap out of everyone lately? Win the next freaking 3 games. It was a horrible loss last week, we need to rebound and win a HUGE one.....and this OSU game would be a big one for our squad. Show the rest of the conference that we are still hungry...playing through injuries....and deserve a good bowl game.

Get our best QB in there....build his confidence and win these last three games.

If nothing else, AA needs to play if he can to try and get back in a rhythm pre-Colorado.

A lot of things would have to go right for ISU. I don't think AA coming back is going to win the game for ISU.

Stephens will play because the doctors told CPR that, "nothing will come out of the holes in his stomach" Might be one of the greatest lines ever. As far as AA I dont think Rhoads would be that coy about playing him because I am sure his teammates know what is going on and with 85 players one of them is bound to let something slip out.
