Re: We Will Not Beat Colorado Next Week.
This thread is another reason that people should get a good night sleep after a loss and wait to say anything until they wake back up the next day and have thought about it. Initially shooting your mouth off during the game with crap like this is ridiculous. If we hadn't played Baylor right now and you saw the score beating Missouri, you probably would tell us all about how they have way more talent then we do and we can't hang with them. Obviously the game in Ames this year proved different. Yes the offense is struggling, but things are correctable and we all have seen that when these guys are clicking we can hang with a lot of teams. OSU is better then you are giving them credit. Their secondary was able to match up one on one with our guys and shut them down while an undersized defensive line proved too quick and aggressive. But this is also a defense that was all over Georgia and ranked #5 in the country. Settle down and bring a renewed optimism back to the game next week and go fly back to the opposite extreme after we beat CU and talk about how we deserve a big bowl.

I just wonder if that will happen soon enough this year. If it does, we could win out from here. However, until I see him out there with my own eye, I predict a 5-7 season.

Which is a great great season after the last 3. Unreal actually. If we somehow pull out a miracle (or maybe it just feels like a miracle because Im getting my hopes up) and find a way to beat CU... this will be my favorite season ever.

Re: We Will Not Beat Colorado Next Week.
I'm not going to bother reading this thread...mainly because it's ********. Anytime you line up against a Big 12 team you got a shot at getting beat.
We've got a good shot in both our last two games. To start stupid threads like this after a tough loss is dumb. We got beat by a really good team today...that's it. If Colorado played that game vs A$M down in College Station I bet the outcome would have been different.
Let's all just let it play out.

With the talent we have on offense and the experience we have on defense this is about where we should be considering our schedule.

[QUOTE=superfan;1337354]Honestly, I just wonder if A&M is horrible on the road.
Colorado has the biggest home field advantage in all of college football.

Re: We Will Not Beat Colorado Next Week.
A few weeks ago I started a thread about how Iowa State fans need to learn HOW TO WIN. Maybe I should have saved that thread till now.
Everybody that loves Iowa State wants us to win all the time. Now, that being said, step back, and analyize where we are at. If someone would have offered Cyclone Nation a 5-5 record after 10 games with a new coach coming in replacing a coach that didn't want to be here, would you have accepted the 5-5 record? If you know football, especially Big 12 football, you would have jumped all over that.
Building a program takes time, especially if you do it the right way. Football takes longer than any other sport because of the sheer numbers of players needed. If Chizik had been coach of this team, we are NOT 5-5. So what that tells me is that we have some good coaching going on. We could finish 7-5, 6-6, or 5-7. And yes, it's ok to want to go Bowling, just don't expect it year 1. If we get it, all the better.
Coach Paul Rhoads has done a phenominal job at Iowa State. As have the assistant coaches, as have the athletes. Let's hope we get 2 wins the last two games, it is possible. But we might not, and if we don't, don't freak out. Winning takes time. Fans need to learn to win as well. Bowl talk was premature, and still is. What a job Rhoads and staff have done. My hats off to them.

This team knows they're one away from being bowl eligible and with the CU game it's now or never because if you can't be CU at home you're probably not gonna beat Mizzou on the road. Time to step it up if you want to see some post season action.
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience. -

I still cant believe we went 5-3 at one point that was awesome!

I am no major Chizik fan, but what makes you such an expert on coaching that you can predict how many wins a coach would have? Rhoads has thus far done much better than expected, but saying that the Chiz couldn't win 5 games........

Re: We Will Not Beat Colorado Next Week.
Eh, maybe we will maybe we wont. I am done trying to guess what this team will do. Hopefully they show up, kick some ***, and I will get a nice vacation somewhere out of the deal. If not...well it is almost bball season.

In reply to 3Cheers, one reason he might be saying that is Chizik took 2 years to win 5 games. -
