I don't think ISU has anything left in the tank.

We just need to upgrade the talent overall and get some more time under the systems.
Also, watching Nebraska's D tonight, it makes the win there even more impressive. That is a faily good team and a tough venue to win at (obviously). So winning there with a back up QB, is quite amazing.

I think the biggest difference is the defense picking up the offense when they need it and vise versa. Earlier on in the year if the offense went 3 and out the D usually came up with a big stop, and if the defense was struggling the O would pick up a few first downs to keep them off the field. This does not seem to happen anymore.

Look at the type of offenses we're playing now.

We flat out don't have depth at any position
We don't have a d-line
Are secondary is below avg.
QB's are avg at best.
WR's are a huge disappoitment and cannot create.

WR's are a huge disappoitment and cannot create. Our linebackers and secondary have zero room for error just because our defensive line is so awful. I really hate to rip on our players like that, but that's the nicest and most honest way to put it. Create no pressure, none require a double team, get no penetration. We basically concede anything under 3rd and 2 because it's about automatic we'll give that up on a running play to any team with any kind of line.

Nothing we haven't seen-need more speed on defense, just as we and the coaches have been saying. Some more speed, a few more of those plays get made.
We're on the way. Still a pretty big improvement from last year.

For all our shortcommings, this team is still trying. They were hitting and gang tackling in the fourth quarter when the game was well out of reach. You can't really ask for more than 100% out of your club and that is what they give each week.
I really don't know if we will win again this year, but we have already overachieved and had a great victory in Lincoln. It has been an impressive start for Rhodes which has turned a lot of head across the country. We've already seen the recuits flowing in and I'm sure that trend will only continue. Things are looking good long term.

I thought Arnaud was much better in the second half. Hamilton was for sure responsible for one of the INTs and he didn't do Arnaud any favors on the one in the end zone.
I tend to agree with the people questioning how much they have left in the tank. If a team ever needed a bye week it would be this one and right now. I still think we beat CU but it won't be pretty. Ten days ago I thought it would be a relatively easy game.

Agree! I have been impressed with this team that even though they have had players out and playing against teams with more talent they just don't quit - that's what we have to do. Also outside of a couple of penalties yesterday they haven't made many of those kinds of mistakes for the last several games which is a big improvement from the last couple of years.
Yes - every one knows we need to improve on quickness and speed in most areas. I think the coaches are addressing that with the recruiting. I think the coaches and players are doing a nice job of improving from the last few years. No - I'm not satisfied. We could easily have a couple of more wins that we didn't get. The coaches and players are doing all they can to improve and working hard during the week and during the games. Don't think you can ask for more than that.
