Collegefootballnews.com just released their latest bowl projections.
They have the Clones in the New Mexico Bowl taking on Fresno State. It'd be a 2:30 kick on Dec. 19. That's the first bowl game of the season.

ESPN has us in the Pizza Bowl in Detroit.
They have ISU taking on Northern Illinois on December 26th.

It will be a lot more fun to think about this and look at the projections after we've won a sixth game!

All of course is moot until we win #6.
If we're fortunate enough to get to 6-6 and fortunate enough to get an invite at 6-6, then I hope we play as late as possible allowing as much practice time as possible. We'll have so many new guys out there on defense next year that it may take a bowl prep just to teach them how to line-up.
Personally, I would love to go to the Little Caesar's Bowl, not because it is in Detroit, but because it is Little Caesar's, and a bowl. :smile:

It would be kind of funny if we played Northern Illinois considering we play them our first game next year as well.
CFN's bowl predictions are awful. They have the tie-ins wrong on at least one bowl. The Armed Forces Bowl is MWC vs. Pac-10 this year, not MWC vs. CUSA.
I went through and took a quick look at the number of teams I think have a chance to be bowl eligible last night. I'm going to analyze it conference by conference and bowl by bowl tonight and tomorrow if I have time and come back with a full report. I guarantee it will be far more comprehensive and accurate than anything any of the so-called experts have come up with so far.
This season, it's CUSA #3 vs. MWC #3/4 according to both of the participating conferences.Quote:

Basically, it looks like our only hope for Auburn in the Independence Bowl is for us to win out and probably Auburn to lose out?
