Kennard is the king of this. He will get burned for a huge touchdown. Then give up a 20 yard play. Then Tackle the guy for a 10 yard gain and jump up like he can't beleive the guy tried to run by him because he is the great Kennard Banks. It's weird.
That is if KB actually tackles him. Usually he just throws a shoulder into the guy and hopes he falls down.Quote:

At any rate though, I love a team with emotion. I just want our guys to direct it to the right place. I thought for sure that horse collar flag was actually on Banks - because he was sure shoving his guy after the play. He seems to enjoy toeing the line on that end and side of the field...having already been flagged for PF penalties there twice this season.
Often it is not being cocky... it is just the way some players play with/show their emotions.
For DBs and WRs, talking smack just comes with the territory. Playing out their on the island leads to smack talk. If you are bothered by players talking trash, football is probably not the sport for you.
The is a topic that really does apply to all of football...from HS to the NFL! It is so annoying! And it seems when you are good...you get celebrated for acting in these ways! When you are bad...you get laughed at for acting in these ways! Same actions...guess it is a matter of when you celebrate...not if you celebrate!
I completely agree though...way too many DBs and LBs (on all teams) celebrating tackles 10 - 15 yards down field!

Thank god I'm not the only one that thinks that about KB. I figure he would be a better kick returner than CB because every time I watch him he either gets burnt, relies on some one else, or tries to twist and spin a guy down. He would make Deion Sanders look like a tackling machine.
Look up Jamie Winborn. played for the Broncos last year. A back would run for like 8-10 yards and pick up the first down, Jamie would come make the tackle and he would do a dance like he just sacked the QB. Lets just say i am glad he isnt on the team anymore.
Yea Smith did this several times, but no one is as bad about this as KB. What makes it even worse is he'll celebrate the one play he makes in between allowing big plays.Quote:
