They probably won't but if they do he can really air it out. I saw a ton of highlights of him while he was in high school when I'd go down that way to visit the parents. He'll be a good one for them... unfortunately.

They said the same thing about Jake C and Macnuttys. That turned out well for them.

Re: Arnaud or Tiller...who do you start?
This week, Arnaud. Last week, I don't know. When AA is held from running the ball, he becomes less effective and so does ARob. With Tiller there would have been a threat against a team that obviously was willing to let anyone beat them that was not ARob. I don't think it mattered last week, I am just saying that AA was less effective against their athletic defense. I don't think Colorados defense has the ability to load up against the run and still be able to control the passing game without a couple linebackers in coverage. Just my opinion.

Arnaud but I hope the competition is open for the spot this spring/fall.
Tiller has more upside longterm in this offense IMO. That being said, the future is now and Austen will be fine. I look for him to have a great game Saturday in route to a relatively easy win.

I was in the student section and couldn't believe the number of Tiller chants/convo's I heard. I guess I don't quite understand people sometimes. Is Tiller a great backup? YES. Does he need more experience? YES. Should ISU risk bowl eligibility on prepping their backup/future qtrback? NO.
IMHO, Arnaud is heads and shoulders above Tiller in that he has a lot of experience. I think this week he will get his timing back and will show the "Tiller Chanters" he is our starter for the rest of the year barring health.

Re: Arnaud or Tiller...who do you start?
I hope they put in a QB that can run and pass the ball...AA has the experience to lead the team but how much do you think his hand being hurt and him not wanting to take a hit on it affects his mind psychologically. Mental preparation is a very big part of the game. If that is ok and he has velocity on the ball then play him, but if not then go with Tiller and take off the reigns and let him just play and run. I think we have a keeper in Tiller and will be the future, so whichever one that can play solid as a QB and be a real threat to take us to a bowl game is the one IMO that should be in there. -

If AA can't give us the threat on the ground he's really ineffective. IMO he shouldn't have played last week, I respect his effort but he just wasn't the same guy. Let's hope he's feeling better than last week and comes out playing well so we don't have to have this discussion again next week. I have a feeling that no matter how this season finishes there are going to be around 10,000 of these threads through the offseason and the 2010 season.
