Derron Montgomery was a sprinter for the ISU track team but I think he used up his eligibility last year.

I believe that it was either problems with discipline, academics, or a combination of the two. It wasn't lack of talent on the field that kept russell from attracting more offers out of high school. I believe that he ended up switching high schools because of assorted issues back then.

Derron now plays football and runs track at either a small D1 or a D2 school in Texas

Nope... Derron is at Abeline Christian(sp?). He is was playing football again before he hurt his knee.... Again.

McDowell is friends with Derron and went to play at AC too.

McDowell is actually still at ISU, at least through the end of the semester. Wouldn't surprise me to see him end up back at a school in Texas though since it would allow him to be back in his home state.
