Fales just said we make a habit of storming the field...

Really? When was the last time we stormed the field?
I remember three times in about the last four years:
Iowa win in 2007- of course!
McCarney's last game- carried him off the field
Saturday- bowl eligibility
I don't think that is over the top
I do believe a RANKED Iowa team stormed the field when they beat an UNRANKED Michigan team this year!

We stormed the field for every win in 2007 (Kansas State and Colorado included).

I like it though. Who cares about Andy Fales?

Historically, we've done it a little bit too much for my liking. There are definitely times that call for it (see Iowa two years ago) and times that don't.

Did Iowa really rush the field against Michigan this year? Wow.

I generally like it, but hopefully after this year people will be more selective about it. Definitely deserved it after the Colorado game, hard fought game for bowl eligibility after 2 really tough years.

I agree. and yes.

I like rushing the field, but I like rushing the field over a HUGE win. A few years ago when I was a student we rushed the field so many times that year that it was getting old and we seemed to be taking advantage of it. It's a lot more fun to rush the field when you haven't done it in awhile and we just get a huge win. 2005 and 2007 Iowa wins were big, Mac's last game come to the top of my head of being great times to rush the field.

I dont think we "Storm the Field" as much as we just like to go out on the field and be with the players after we win. Yeah the student go running out there first...but, they are college kids, that's what they do. I don't think we storm the in the true sense of the phrase.

My sister and brother-in-law had no choice but to "storm the field" yesterday - they weren't getting out of the stadium the way the engineers had intended considering how crowded the stairways were.

Yes here is proof Iowa stormed the field vs. Michigan. It is worse than all of ours combined. Iowa was ranked 12th and Michigan was UNRANKED! Act like you've been there before! Check out the last ten seconds or so.

That makes no sense. You kinda contradicted yourself there! I have no problem with us storming the field to become bowl eligible after two years of being Chizzed! Plus we weren't ranked 12th when we rushed the field.

Funny, this is exact same argument that Iowa fans make, yet it's dismissed as folly by nearly everyone on this board. The video linked a couple posts below the one I'm responding to is evidence of that, so thanks to whomever linked that.
