Chances of Bowl Game now??

As long as K-State doesn't win tonight AND Kansas doesn't win one of their last two, we're 100 percent in. I think we can survive one of those teams winning and still probably get a bid. I'm not sure we can survive both happening.

KSU win tonight makes it less than 50% chance we go to a bowl. NU win makes it about a 95% chance because I think we would get picked over KU even if they beat MU.

Just wondering, what conferences won't be able to fill their bowl agreements? Big 10 and ACC???? Maybe the MAC?

The Big Ten depends on the BCS. If they get two in the BCS, the Detroit bowl opens up. If not, the Big Ten will use all 7 of their spots.

It is looking right now like there will be around 4 for sure at large spots. The ACC is two teams short of bowl eligible. The MWC will probably be one short and Army isn't likely to make a bowl game. Which leaves spots in the EagleBank, GMAC, and New Mexico Bowls.

If Iowa gets into the BCS that opens a spot in Detroit too.

Right now there are 64 bowl eligible teams and 68 spots.

Probability of KSU beating Nebraska 20%
Probability of Kansas beating Missouri 30%
Probability of OSU not getting a BCS bid 80%
Probability of ISU not getting selected as an at large team 25%

.2x.3x.8x.25=.012
Therefore probability that we make bowl game = 98.8% (In round numbers)

I think our post locker room show in Nebraska might have helped raise a few eyebrows around the country. I'm looking for an invite for the extreme support that that we show at ISU. IMO, I'm looking for the GMAC bowl in mobile. (but that's just me)

Interesting. I think ISU deserves a bowl game. If Iowa goes to the fiesta (or Penns State) then ISU is a lock. If the Big Ten only puts one in the BCS then a MAJOR shift happens.

I think things become problematic for ISU only if OSU doesn't replace Iowa.

I have said this before. I will say it again. It will be deleted by the moderators again. I will not spend a red cent in Detroit, MI. Screw them and their politics. They can be annexed by Ontario as far as I am concerned.
