Independence Bowl Kickoff Time

Monday, December 28th @ 4:00 PM.

There are no other games that day. WTF?

I guess they don't want to compete with Minnesota @ Chicago on MNF...

Edit: Just realized that both games are on ESPN so it has to be that way. The tail-end of the game might get some good viewership...

I kind of like having the earlier game and then having the evening free to celebrate afterward.

well looks like I'm not going to a bowl game after all.... Shreveport was always going to be the worst game, location AND time wise

If OSU gets to BCS and some other things fall our way, Insight is at least within reach.

I kind of like the evening bowl games, because I love the long tailgates. Also gives time to go out the night before and sleep in a little, instead of having to wake up at the *** crack of dawn to tailgate.

I really dont give a crap where the bowl is.. these guys need extra practices/exposure/ability to sell something to recruits.

I am hoping for the Independence Bowl because it is the best game, location and time wise, for me.

I will do my best to make my schedule work for any bowl game though.

I'm not going to complain no matter what, seeing as how I'll be going no matter when or where a bowl game is, but it would be nice to be driving to ames to meet with some people to fly out on the 28th rather than playing on that day. Never thought I'd be saying this but, "Go Nebraska, here's hoping you beat Texas!" . A vacation to Arizona sure would be nice.

How would Nebraska beating Texas help us?
Wouldn't that hurt us, since they will no longer be in the BCS NC, sliding everybody down one bowl slot?

Texas would still get an at large BCS berth with Nebraska getting the automatic one.

Wouldn't that just keep everything the same then? 2 teams in a BCS bowl no matter what, correct? Assuming OSU can beat OU and probably go to the Fiesta bowl.

Hadn't really thought about tailgates at a bowl. Will there be a strong tailgate? You make a good point.
