DL recruiting now #1 target (it appears)
Amazing how the emphasis of the recruiting has shifted to the DL. We've all been asking whats going on there and suddenly, its happening fast and furious.
We've got two visits set up with a third a distinct possibility.
Rony Nelson - JUCO, imo impact player we thought we were getting with Martin. We need this kid to help us next year. Visiting 12-11 i think.
Dartwan Bush - HS - i like this kid a lot too. Seems to be a legit talent with TexasFootball.com considering him 1 of the top 20 Defensive line prospects in the state. Every other player on that list is a highly rated player except him. The more i hear on him, or see his film, the more i like him.
Lincoln Togiai - JUCO - this kid has one other offer to San Jose State and favors us. He's trying to set up a visit, but he was All California as a linebacker last year, so he's transitioning to DE but my guess is he's got good speed!!!! LITTLE TIDBIT....Lincoln has a teammate that we were heavily recruiting in Perry Jackson(Current San Diego State commit and former Utah Commit). Not to wish list, but, maybe Lincoln and Perry could continue their success at the same Div. 1 program????
Other JUCO's:
DE
Kyle Murphy
Scardino Daniels
Jared Jackson
Josh Nunu
Wayne Dorsey (yeah right)
DT
Carlton Hudson
David Mahoney
Andrew Blood
B.J. Sumter
Matangi Tonga
I'm sure there's others out there....but quite a list and the staff knows they need at least 3-4 of these guys in this class to help develop the younger guys and provide either starters or depth from the JUCOS!!!!!

Re: DL recruiting now #1 target (it appears)
Good post, with the exception of stating that all of us thought Taylor Martin was going to be an impact JUCO recruit.
I think the majority of people on here were not very high on Taylor Martin at all. I, for one, think it was a good thing he didn't show up. Would have been a wasted scholarship IMO.
Does anyone know where Martin ended up? He's probably not even playing football anymore?

Nice writeup...good DL depth is really something we need going forward.
