Anyone that went in 2005 know what seats might be the best to sit in?
They also have a Holiday 2 pack with 2 Tshirts for $49, but im sure they are the worst tickets available.

My opinion, Indy looks like a bowled-in high school stadium. Reliant (from pics and personal experience) is the real deal.
you can pick a smaller stadium that is packed full with ISU and SEC fans... or a huge stadium that is literally 1/3 full.

I was in the 111-109 (or was it 129-131?) section with the band and the seats were decent, with a good view of the board and the field. I can' really speak for upper deck or nearer to the 50, but the extreme corners weren't the best.

If its anything like last time, I wonder if you could just buy the cheapest tickets and sit wherever you wanted.

That's true, the stadium was pretty empty, and I don't remember any per-mar security guards tackling people to see their tickets.

I thought about just buying the cheapest ticket and moving into an endzone.

I would rather play there and get the payout and possibly get a higher revenue to have more games on the tube.

ISU vs Navy will be a practical tomb in that stadium.
I don't have any inside information as others claim, but I think the people writing off Shreveport are premature.
The Indy Bowl is supported by the locals and the SEC team will bring a ton of fans. The conference can afford to have 10,000-15,000 ISU fans and still have a pretty full stadium.
ISU v Navy in the Houston Bowl is a disaster for ticket sales. No locals attend the game. That is why A&M and their legion of fans might be the better choice. Plus the added attraction of a service academy vs the strong cadet tradition of A&M.
Believe me, even if the bowls have a pecking order, the Big 12 offices are very involved in getting the matchups set.

Anyone else going to book a flight yet?

Re: Texas Bowl...Need some quick facts
Interesting excerpt from Texas Bowl website
Bowl Outlook
With only one week remaining in the regular season the bowl picture is lining up. After week 12, ESPN bowl projectors Mark Schlabach and Bruce Feldman both predict the Texas A&M Aggies to take on the Navy Midshipmen in the 2009 Texas Bowl.
Sounds to me like they want A&M (although they don't have much of a say in the matter)

Also, what is the payout for the texas bowl, I have not been able to find the payout numbers that Chris posted a while ago. last time we played it I think we paid THEM.

Re: Texas Bowl...Need some quick facts
I've been to both stadiums/towns. Here is my breakdown.
Shreveport-The locals make this event. Nice small town with good people. You can tell that they make a big deal of it.
Houston-Better stadium, better night life, better food, better shopping, etc. Higher prices are the only real negative.
Both are good for tailgates.
