I would go and I know alot of my friends would go... I also know a bunch of Hawk fans that would go early and go to the ISU game. It would be CRAZY. ISU and Iowa need to team up on this if they haven't already.

true enough. Those U of M kids are crazy, I remember all the news coverage the couple years of Hockey riots got.

No way this is going to happen when Missouri went 8-4. I would love it....but it looks like the Texas Bowl for us.

That was an idiotic thing for the eiu athletic department to say and would work against them. The bowls are tied in with the community and they want full hotels, restaurants, bars for many days, not people who only buy a ticket to the bowl game.

Here's what happens if Nebraska beats Texas
NC is Florida/Alabama winner vs either Cincinnati or Texas Christian
Ohio St & Pac-10 champ to the Rose, ACC champ to the Orange
Nebraska automatically goes to the Fiesta as Big XII champ
Sugar picks the Florida/Alabama loser
Orange picks next and they take Texas
Fiesta picks next and they pick from Iowa, Penn St, Boise St
Sugar picks last and they get the other of Cincy & TCU

OR
If Nebraska and Alabama win, a one loss Florida might only fall to #2 in the BCS, setting up a SEC rematch in the NC. If this happens the BCS will die, but as for this year's bowl games:
NC is Alabama vs Florida
Ohio St & Pac-10 champ to the Rose, ACC champ to the Orange
Nebraska automatically goes to the Fiesta as Big XII champ
Sugar picks first and they take Texas
Orange picks next and they take Penn St (instead of Iowa)
Fiesta picks next and they take TCU

This is how Hawkeye football is every year. They play 1 or 2 bowls up each year b/c of their reputation. College football is wrong. Not that I care, but how do those players that work their butts off at Mizzouri feel about this?

On the other hand we will probably go 8-4 next year and end up in the Yankee bowl or something.

I agree with you, but there are many that would. It would be a great promotion and might be a good way to encourage Insight to pick ISU. If Iowa fans are willing to root for ISU for one day, I think we could get along.
