Re: i hope TCU doesn't get paired with Boise
I don't want to see TCU vs. Boise State either. That game was already played last season.
I have to wonder if that match-up (if it happens) is designed to be a subtle F*** you to the non-BcS schools. I have to wonder if the BcS committee is getting tired of good, non-BcS teams upsetting their precious, big-boy system, so when their finally are two non-BcS teams good enough to break into their exclusive "club", instead of matching them up against power conference teams, let's just put them against each other.
The BcS is beyond ridiculous and is an absolute sham.

Also, you forgot Cincy's good showing against Illinois in between that stretch (not that Illinois is very scary). All I am saying is that they should have a shot, and if they can't get there with the way they played this year, how can they ever? The problem is perception, and the double-standard where late season losses (and lackluster performances) hurt BCS standings. Sure Alabama struggled with Auburn the week before, and then they manhandled #1 Florida...they deserve it.
It isn't bogus. I didnt forget their showing against illinois. Illinois sucks. Missouri beat them 37-9 (and texas beat missouri 41-7). Im not saying Alabama doesnt deserve it at all. Just saying that saying Texas doesnt deserve it because they played close games is bogus. ALL of them have had some close games. And when you compare who texas has beat, to who cincinatti has beaten, its no contest who deserves it more.

Re: i hope TCU doesn't get paired with Boise
has TCU been on tv? who have they played that was any good? utah and BYU aren't that good. I just can't make an arguement for them. Last year I heard the same thing. "TCU is really good" They played Oklahoma in like week 3 and lost 35-7!! They had their shot and blew it. This year will probably be the same old jazz
This is why you need to do your homework before you post. TCU won AT a pretty good Clemson team. As for them being on TV, what does that mean? Only good teams play on TV? Who the hell cares!? If TV is the end-all, be-all, then let's put Notre Dame in the championship game. Did you see what Utah did to Alabama last year? Anybody who watched that game knows that Utah is pretty damn good.

BYU and Utah were both ranked this year.
It's not that they're undefeated, it's that they're undefeated, and outside of two games (W @ Clemsom 14-10, W @ Air Force 20-17, it's that nobody else has even challenged them. Margin of Victory:
@ Virginia - 16
Texas State - 35
@ Clemson - 4
SMU - 25
@ Air Force - 3
Colorado State - 38
@ BYU - 31
UNLV - 41
@ SDSU - 43
Utah - 27
@ Wyoming - 35
New Mexico - 41

Yes, Texas has beaten some good teams, but again, it is all in perception, which is the problem. I mean, the fact that a late season loss kills you as much as it does, or even a late season lackluster performance is praised more than it hurts, is what I am complaining about. To me, Texas and Cincinnati are a toss-up for the NC game, as they both have wins over 3 ranked teams in the course of the season, the last for Cincy being 1 point of #15 Pitt, and Texas being 1 point over #22 Nebraska.

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing TCU and Boise at all. When TCU crushes them, Boise will be exposed as the sham that they are. IMHO.

They dont want anyone to think that TCU and Boise are actually good. Especially after Boise rolls over Iowa and TCU wins too.

Re: i hope TCU doesn't get paired with Boise
The Boise St.-TCU matchup wouldn't do much for me. It would be a good game but what does the winner really win? I think it would be a lose/lose for both teams. If they lost people would call them frauds. If they won people would say it was a win over a non BCS school.
Both schools want to be in BCS games but I'm guessing neitehr school wants this matchup.

Re: i hope TCU doesn't get paired with Boise
I agree. TCU should play against Florida or someone along those lines. I think that they will show they can play with the big boys. I like Boise State, but don't really care if they don't get a BCS bowl.

In the end, TCU beat Boise by 1 That is true, but if you watched that game, the score really didn't indicate how physically dominant TCU was. And TCU is much much better this year. As far as I'm concerned, TCU this year is probably better than Utah was last year. I know that might surprise a lot of you guys that don't see these teams alot. But, TCU is really like a Big 12 team in size and speed. I saw them in person this year and they are the best non-BCS team physically and athletically I have ever seen by far. Living out west and going to WAC and Mountain West games regularly for the past 25 years or so, that covers some ground. And I have seen Boise in person twice in recent years. They just don't match up.

Had Nebby pulled the upset last night, I'd be screaming for TCU vs. Alabama in Pasadena, and that's exactly why I don't want to see TCU vs. Boise. I'd rather they BOTH knock off teams from the BCS conferences.
And I still want to see the MWC and the WAC merge to form another BCS conference
