Yeah... They are counting this as a win, and one of the most boring games ever.
I don't think they're counting this as a win, certainly no more than we are. From what I've been reading, they were hoping for this draw because Iowa State provided them the most favorable matchup (as opposed to Texas Tech). Same reason why most hear would take Minnesota over Michigan State.Quote:

Gopher fans aren't the most educated sports fans around. I remember when we played them first round of the NCAA basketball tourney a few years ago...most of them thought they were playing Iowa.Quote:

It's really pathetic. They just can't wrap their heads around the fact that Iowa has two major schools.
To be honest, their ignorance and "hate all things Iowa" mentality is the reason you'll catch me in black and gold cheering for the state of Iowa when the Hawks come to play the Gophers. I hate Iowa...but not like I hate Minnesota.
