Shaban Dika was recently rated by Rivals as a 3-star prospect. That means that we have 4 three star offensive linemen coming in next year.

This class is currently rated as the number 54 class in the nation with 3 players still unrated.

Clifford Morgan
Brandon Jensen
Floyd Mattison

I think that Mattison will get at least 3 stars, and I could see Morgan possibly getting 3 stars as well.

This class is looking realyl good. As everyone has said, we just need some pass rushers for that defensive line.

A top 50 class would be an enormous indication of the direction this program is heading. I like that we are building depth on the Oline too. Hard to have a great offense without a line.

If memory serves, Dika had previously been rated a 3-star recruit, then it "went away" for quite some time. Anybody know why that happened and if the other "un-rated" recruits will eventually be evaluated by Rivals?

While I don't completely buy into the ranking system, it would be nice to say our class was raked overall in the 40s.

Hopefully we pick up 6 quality recruits in the next couple months and it puts us there.

We really owe Chizik a lot. If it wasn't for his recruits we wouldn't be bowling and subsequently we wouldn't be getting the recruits we are getting

What have our classes typically been ranked? I don't follow recruiting that closely.

Rhoads recruiting class, and this thread, have nothing to do with Chizik. The 2009 team has alot of Chizik players starting. So yes, we do owe Chikiz some credit for players that he brought to Ames.

If this holds, it will be our highest team ranking (according to Rivals) since 2004 when we finished at 42. Next closest would be 2005 when we finished at 58. Since than we haven't finished above 60 and last year we hit our worst at 73. Our highest was in 2002 when we got to 30.
