Re: Bus Trip Update
The fact that they are putting Wifi on buses blows my mind
That'd make bus trips so much shorter...

That'd make bus trips so much shorter... no kidding. the trend of putting wifi on buses started shortly after i spent 2 summers of my life living on tour buses. man, how much nicer those rides wouldve been with a laptop and wifi. no internet for 3 months, my inbox was ridiculous when i got back.

[QUOTE] Aauummm, Aloha from the NEW Aloft!!
I'm not really sure how this posting works but I thought I'd give it a whirl~ you seem to be a pro!
I wanted to get our name out there for all those Iowa travelers! We are only 6 miles from the big game & the Block Party! Even better, we are STEPS from the light rail so that'll save travelers $$ and the time- no fighting traffic! We also have FREE airport transportation and within 5 miles, FREE wireless internet, FREE parking, and an awesome w xyz bar. :)
Can you help me get our NEW hotel out there?? Check us out at Aloft Phoenix Hotels: Aloft Phoenix-Airport - Hotel Rooms at alofthotels. A great addition to the Phoenix/Airport area. :)
I really appreciate any help you can give me!

Re: Bus Trip Update
Just checked out the site for that hotel and the rates are reasonable if anybody is still looking for a place to stay down there.

Re: Bus Trip Update
Hotwire.com still has several rooms around the airport. If your looking to save money and really don't care about which hotel you stay at I would suggest them. We got the Crowne Plaza at the airport for $44/night. It is also just steps away from the light rail so no car would be needed for the whole trip if the bus drops you off at the airport. The Crowne Plaza is the 3 1/2 star on hotwire going for $46/night now.

Re: Bus Trip Update
bump!
Seriously...why is this thing not filled up yet? I can't even fathom why someone would drive themself to the game when this option is available? or.....use the excuse they can't afford it when this is only $225?

Lots of talk about how people would go if they had a cheaper alternative so I went out and made that happen and now they aren't signing up. I honestly thought I would have been full with in a couple days after I posted this but I guess that's not the case. I have had a couple people actually drop out and I think it's due to the fact that they can't wait any longer to make their arrangements. I now need about 20 more people to make this happen. Stop thinking about this guys and sign up before it's too late. Only today and tomorrow left to sign up before I call it off!!!

Re: Bus Trip Update
Bumping this or the late risers!
$225 to go to sunny AZ for 3 days and watch a Cyclone victory is pretty reasonable guys. Better than the 7 degree temps we're dealing w/right now. Let's get signed up before it's too late!!!

Re: Bus Trip Update
Question about this - is 225 a for sure thing? How many nights will we have to stay in the hotel? I assume the 30th, 31st, and 1st right?

That's based off getting 50 people on the bus. Say I get all 56 on the bus everybody will get $20 back as it will reduce the cost to $205/person. Yes, you will be in a hotel 3 nights. The nights are exactly the dates you have listed.

Just sent you a pm. My wife and I are a "probably", just making sure on all the other arrangements.

Re: Bus Trip Update
Down to 26 signed up and firm (had 4 drop this morning and a group of 8 that won't return my emails so took them off the list until they do) but have 29 people that are tentative. Let's go guys! The ones that are signed up are sitting on the edge of their chairs praying the rest of you sign up so this thing can get rolling! I've probably responded to close to 200 emails and phone calls from people interested but nobody is committing. What do you think is the main reason behind this b/c they all sound like they are dying to get down to the game?
