Mediacom - NFL Network News

I'm working on a complete story with this topic but I thought I'd let you all know about the latest with Mediacom and the NFL Network.

The Insight Bowl is currently working with both parties to get the game on here in Central Iowa.

However, Jamie Pollard told reporters today that he didn't see Mediacom giving in.

I'll have a story full of quotes here within the hour.

Part of me thinks Pollard is just saying that so people won't bank on the game being on TV so in turn, they will buy tickets to the game instead.

Honestly, I doubt that. I really doubt that people are going to drop that kind of money just because a game isn't on TV. All they have to do is go to a bar with satellite TV to view it.

If the Mediacom thing doesn't work out, what about an OTA broadcast on WHO, KCCI, WOI, KDSM?

Yeah, because that is what is hindering my $1,000 decision.

I just ask because I am forced to use ICS right now and lets just say we do not get along. So, I am looking into my other options when I am not forced to use someone.

Okay, I've always had Mediacom so can someone please fill me in on why they suck and Direct TV and satelite are so much better?

I've always like Qwest DSL. In Ames mediacom's internet isn't always reliable. In the time that I had Qwest I'm not sure that I ever had an outage. Also, nowadays you can get just as fast on DSL as you can on mediacom.
