FOX 17 in negotiations to carry Insight Bowl Game!

KDSM FOX 17 is currently in negotiations with the NFL Network to carry the Insight.com bowl game on December 31. I'd say there is a 60 to 70% chance this happens. Keep your fingers crossed that the NFL Network will agree to this.

That would be awesome, hopefully they will just pick up the high definition feed. I'll probably watch the NFL network though just to make sure.

Sinclair owns to rights to fox all over Iowa I believe or atleast in eastern and central Iowa.

What irony this could be.
Sinclair runs the ISU game and it is on mediacom.
Then pulls the plug on the Orange Bowl.

If this is indeed true, very opportunistic timing on their part. They want ridiculous amounts of money from Mediacom to continue broadcasting Fox, and perhaps they could see this as a bit of leverage against Mediacom. They'd basically be playing the PR (public relations, not Paul Rhoads) game, saying "Look at us, we care about the state of Iowa and blah blah blah".

Anyways, if Sinclair does get rights to show the game, people should have their rabbit ears ready, in case Fox gets pulled from Mediacom on the 31st. (Although, somehow I don't see Mediacom holding and not folding..)
