Long Lines Cable has the NFL Network as part of their basic package. That could be an option for you.

I think that we all need to write ABC5 thanking them for doing this. They definitely did not have to to this, but it just shows that they really do care about being the home for cyclone athletics.

Is it just going to be the same broadcast as on NFL network? Will they just simulcast it?

No sure, but they did make it a point on Matt/Miller yesterday to mention it would be broadcast in HD. I'm not sure if that helps answer your question or not.

The guy from ABC5 interviewed by M&M, said that it was the NFL broadcast, but they would have some slots for local advertising. Otherwise, NFL feed (made mention of the technical issues to unscramble the NFL network's signal).

According to the guy from ABC5 that was on Terrill's show yesterday, at least one or two other Des Moines stations made a bid for this with another making an inquirey.
My point: this isn't exactly a charity case provided for by channel 5. This is a lucrative broadcast (ie...what else is going to have these ratings at 5:00pm on Thursday in the Des Moines market?).
I'd put the pen down and $ave the ink
