As someone who is more of a college fan, and not much of an nfl fan, I say bravo to mediacom for not caving to NFL network. This is the only game all year that I would watch on there, and I'll be in Tempe, so i'm not missing anything.
I still wish mediacom wouldnt have caved on the B10Network. They did the same thing as NFL network, and we're all now paying for the big 10 network, whether we have any interest in b10 sports or not.

Your point is obviously valid, but it doesn't change my point that the NFL Network shouldn't have an obligation to give the rights to this game away to local networks that pay it nothing in subscriber fees.
Also, how often do you watch Lifetime?? Believe it or not, the subscriber rates for Lifetime are VERY high. How many phone calls do you make to Mediacom a year complaining about having to pay for that damn womens' channel?
It's the nature of the beast.

It's the nature of the beast. Lifetime has a ton of movies on there. Pretty good channel. My wife watches it all the time and sometimes I am a captive audience. But it isn't too bad of a channel.
HGTV sucks. So does Fox.

Re: No TV in Eastern Iowa for Insight
The difference is often that the networks are often forced to take channels like lifetime, hsn, etc as part of a package to get the channels they really want that get ratings. NFL network is a channel by itself, and SHOULD be on the sports tier.

I'm surprised KCRG even tried.
