Good for him. Glad he found a good fit.

Good Luck to him. Our RB depth is still very solid. Keep an eye on James White next year...

Re: Schwartz to 1-AA per DMR
good luck to him. He just didnt fit ISU's system but could be a good power back at that level!

Re: Schwartz to 1-AA per DMR
To echo other's sentiments, this is exactly how you transfer. You don't suddenly quit on your team, you keep the coaches abreast of what's going on, etc.
This tells me that there is a high level of respect between the players and coaches.

Re: Schwartz to 1-AA per DMR
This guys sucks we didn't want him anyway .
But seriously ya gotta give a lot of respect to this guy, he hung in there even when he stopped getting carries and it was obvious that he wasn't a fit for this system, and as far as we know there was no whining or drama. Just a class act all the way, and as far as I'm concerned he's a Cyclone for life....he earned that for the way he stepped up that Husker game. Good Luck to ya JS!!
The only bigger turnoff than finding out a woman smokes, is finding out she's a Husker fan. -

Re: Schwartz to 1-AA per DMR
c'mon heitclone those comment's do not cut it even though you went on and kinda made up for it. Swartz quite possibly is one of the reasons the 'clones are in Phoenix. He will go down in history along with Marv Seilor. Best of luck to him. Probably the reason he got the nod to play was he was a non-fumbler and good blocker and knew his assignments.

Apparently some missed the ! It's a little thing we refer to as sarcasm!
I'm bummed that JS isn't staying. He was only a freshman and even though many think he didn't fit ISU's system, he still had 3 years of playing left. Not many freshmen are able to be a featured back in any D1 program. I think JS could have been a very big part of the running game over the next 3 years.
Good Luck Schwartz, hope all goes well at your new school!

Re: Schwartz to 1-AA per DMR
man this sucks. i really think he's got a big upside and IS suited for this level. he was our 2nd stinger almost immediately, beating out a former 4* back who was a few years ahead of him and a true fresh coming on strong. that in itself says a lot about his potential. personally i think he is giving up too soon on what could have been a good career at this level.
i'm not so sure i understand people saying "he didn't fit our system" either. do you all really know that? or are you just copying and pasting what other people said? the way i saw it, so long as the OL got him to the second level he did fine (see beginning of the season).
is going to make people miss in the backfield? no, but their shouldn't be anybody in the backfield, that falls on the OL. i think he would have done fine within our system so long as the OL did their job. keep in mind, he is a freshman and in all likelyhood would have gotten bigger/faster/stronger/smarter as the years went on. some of the troubles he had this year were mistakes he could have corrected down the road.
i absolutely LOVED seeing him run in the open field once he got past the LBers. freight train waiting to pummel somebody.
wonder if he still gets playing time in the bowl as one last ditch effort to keep him here, or do we work on the future (those who will remain with the team for certain)?
he was our 1st choice at backup for a reason, he is good.

he was our 1st choice at backup for a reason, he is good. I agree with this. The guy was our starting tailback for how many games as a freshman? I'm not hanging off a ledge here but I don't see this as a positive either. Plus, I just don't understand his reasons for leaving. Wouldn't you rather be a supporting player in a up and coming Big 12 program playing in front of 50 to 80k week in and out as opposed to playing for Liberty and a few thousand...most of whom are family and friends? Just doesn't make sense on his end to me. The guy was going to finish his career here with plenty of carries...

He seemed to be slipping down the chart towards the end of the season. I wouldn't have been surprised to see him behind Blankenship and maybe even Williams next season.

I get it now, heitclone. I haven't memorized the meanings of the symbols and have never seen their definitions.
