This was from the Tempe Coaches Show last night on the radio...which was very good BTW. But he said ISU has sold about 8,300 through ISU and he thinks about another 3k through other markets.
Is that a good number? Many thought 15k....
Aren't they usually right on these estimates?
guy in my office just said they cancelled their trip because of weather ... at least they bought the tickets.
I know several people who have gone through stubhub, which I hear had the best prices.

it will be extremely sad if ISU only brings 11K-ish and two tour buses full of minny fans show up. They probably will tell the camera guys to avoid showing the stands at all costs!

My parents took my little brother to the DSM airport yesterday morning, and when they got back they said that the place was packed with people sporting ISU gear heading to the game.
I couldn't care less about Minnesota and how many people they bring. I only care about ISU, and based on what we heard at the beginning, 11K total is bad.Quote:

I would be surprised if only 3,000 bought tickets through other avenues. How would Pollard have any idea about that anyways?
I think 8300 sold through ISU is pretty good considering that it is cheaper to go through the bowl game itself or through something like stub hub. I still think that ISU brings 15000 people. I think that people want to go to this game badly but it was expensive so they went for the cheapest tickets possible, which is why ISU hasnt sold its tickets.
