    Chet Culver at bowl games (not political)

    Keith Murphy mentioned on his radio show that he ran into Chet Culver at the Orange Bowl. Were there any Chet Culver sightings at the Insight Bowl? I remember him saying he would make it to the Iowa State bowl game earlier in the year; Did he follow through with his promise??

    He was at both games, and there was a picture of him at the ISU pep rally in the Register. He had a cardinal and gold tie on.

    I wanna know who's ponying up the money for his trip. Sounds like I could've taken 1 less furlough day had he just watched on TV.

    Speaking of state cuts. I was surprised to see Pres. Gregory Geoffry in the Dallas-FW Airport last Tuesday waiting for a connecting flight to Phoenix. They must be following through with cutbacks if A) Pres. is taking commercial flights and B) has to have a layover in which he doesn't fly out to phoenix until after 10 pm mtn. time.

    Might have been flying on his own dime. Changes "needs" when you pay for it.
