Someone please explain
So I was looking at commitment list for ISU and because of the Shontrelle Johnson situation I looked at Florida's list. I noticed a bunch of Florida players have already signed a LOI. I thought it was strange that Florida was bringing in so many JUCO's so I looked closer to find that they are all HS. How did they get away with this, I didn't think HS could sign until late January? Re: Someone please explain
graduated hs early and enrolled already at Florida.

Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -

Their Florida, they along with USC, they bend the rules, now if ISU does that, we're put on the Death Bed.

Re: Someone please explain
More and more schools are doing it. Recently its been a trend for qb's that have a shot at starting so they can go thru spring ball

The reason why more don't do it is that most likely when they start their high school career, they are not planning on graduating early. So they plan as if they are going to be there a full 4 years.

Re: Someone please explain
What basketball game was I watching where they mentioned something like this? The announcers said the kid was 18, and had decided to graduate a year early and so would have been a senior this year, but is instead playing in college. -

I'm pretty sure I heard the same thing at some point Wednesday night and I only watched 'cuse and Iowa State/Duke.

Re: Someone please explain
Jason Scales graduated HS early and enrolled at ISU at the semester.

Re: Someone please explain
Andre Dawkins for Duke did it. You prolly heard it during the ISU/Duke game. He actually has been playing the whole year after graduating early last year. He is a 2010 guy, but graduated with the 2009 folks.

In Basketball, I think it was Bill Walker at KSU did the same thing. He only played at KSU for 1 and a half years I believe
