    Ben Lamaak will likely move to center

    I am in the process of interviewing the football coaches to look ahead to spring ball and 2010. I met with offensive line coach Bill Bleil today. He told me that right now, the plan is the move Ben Lamaak to center for next season. I'll have more on this and a whole lot more in the coming days.

    Interesting. I wonder if this well help Ben with his chances at playing in the NFL. He has now played every single position on the line over his career at Iowa State.

    His mom and dad both work out at the same gym as me in Iowa City. talked to his mom the other day and she told me about this, said he's pretty excited about it!

    Ben has handled the ball before since he played some qb in high school, so now he'll get to experience the other end of the exchange (oops, I forgot we don't put the qb under center). He obviously has some athleticism and center should be a good place to utilize it, especially with the shotgun.

    My guess is they give the juco Jon Caspers a good look at RG. He should have a leg up on it too, since he will be there for spring practice.
