There has recently been a roster update at Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports for the spring football roster. It includes walk-ons etc.

Chris-Have you heard anything on where Donnie Jennert is going to fit into this system and how he is doing? I was real excited about him.

Also, We have a TON of young DBs. I like it. Actually I like our youth overall and I think we have some upperclassmen in key positions. I really think next year could be a year we kind of put ourselves on the map. I know the schedule is tough but when I look at the roster I really see a pretty solid group of kids, not to mention some of the athletes we will be bringing in with this class.

Everytime I look at football info I get more excited. Can't wait for next season.

That is fanatastic! Chizik really screwed the kid when he played him as a true freshmen at TE. It was apparent from day one that the kid could be a very good tackle. I wouldn't be surprised to see him start there in 2 years

I had wondered if Jeremiah Schwartz was really going to transfer because somewhere I had read that he still might stay but I guess this confirms he is gone. I hope he does well wherever he winds up.

Somehow I had forgotten about that. Thanks for pointing out that his no longer on the roster. Too bad he left.

A whole slew of WDM Valley kids. Keep that pipeline open! Anthony Pritchard (LB) from IA Central (hs: Valley), is listed. I'm guessing he's a walk-on? He's an intense dude. Good pick up there.

Also noticed Walker Woods of Waukee is a transfer walk-on after being at South Dakota State last season.

Does anyone know the story on Aaron Moore? He was imo one of the more good get's in last years class but he was recruited as OL and now he is a DE. I'm pretty shocked to be honest. Does anyone know anything about this?

Also - Hayworth Hicks - anyone know his status?

He was recruited as a DE at ISU. He has originally committed to Auburn as a Center but had never played the position. When he got here they planned on trying him at DE and then moving him to the OL if needed.

Hicks was in uniform at the Insight Bowl. Unsure if he played though. Going into Fall, he was going to be our starter at LG so having him eligible can only be a good thing.
