Nice compliment
I went skiing today for the first time in 5 years and while getting on the chair, the lift operator looked at my hat and said to me: "I hate that team, they beat my boys". Not exactly sure who his "boys" are (if I had to guess I would say Army), but it made my day to hear someone, so far away from the mid-west, say they hate us. -
re: Nice compliment
If you were in Colorado and it was a lifty I would assume it was somebody from Minnesota. Just got back from out there and allot of them are from there.

Possibly, and I am just throwin it out there as another name, kinda out of nowhere, if it was in Colorado do you think it may have been an actual Colorado fan?

re: Nice compliment
Maybe I should have said where I was, but if you look at my user info on the side you will get a good idea on where I was and if you look at my sig you will see the lift.

re: Nice compliment
That kind of stuff always makes my day when it happens... as seldom as it is.
I had to miss the Army game this year to attend a wedding in Seattle, and the next morning at the airport a TSA guy looked at my hat and said "you guys had a good win yesterday." Keep in mind, Iowa had also beaten Penn State on ABC Saturday night, so naturally I assumed he was confusing us. I said "well, we did win yesterday but you're probably thinking of Iowa." He said, "no I saw that game too, but you guys beat Army, right?" Made my day.

Re: Nice compliment
Yhe GREAT thing is that since you don't know for sure, as far as beating them. It could have been a NDSU, Army, Kent State, Baylor, Nebraska, Colorado, or Minnesota fan.....lol

Think about it. Anyone who has been in the Army will likely be a Army fan and there are veterans everywhere, where other fans tend to be more localized. Beside, he looked and sounded like ex-army.
