Do you want Thursday night games?
ESPN had offered several Big 12 institutions the opportunity to host an occasional Thursday night home game during the conference season. Thursday night games are broadcast on national television and would provide Iowa State University significant television revenue. Do you support Iowa State University agreeing to play an additional game on Thursday night on an occasional basis?

Nice copy and paste from the football fan survey. -
Re: Do you want Thursday night games?
Personally, I would love it. I work in college athletics, so Saturday games are nearly impossible for me to get to. I haven't missed a Thursday game since we started having them, only because it's one of my only chances to see us play.
41-51 Record in CF Mafia. The most games played and wins by any player in Cyclone Fanatic History. Yes, I'm a nerd. -
Re: Do you want Thursday night games?
One Thursday Game per year (the opening game) is enough for me. A thursday conference game would just take away from the tailgating experience for me.

Re: Do you want Thursday night games?
I like the Thursday night season opener game because of the long holiday weekend, but I would hate conference play Thursday night games because I live 4 hours away and would have to take significant time off work and stay the night...

Re: Do you want Thursday night games?
Thursday night games would be great. If we have a chance to be on TV we need to take it, we are not in a position to be picky.

Re: Do you want Thursday night games?
If the game is on ESPN, I don't see how anyone could complain about it being on Thursday night. Now if it were just on Mediacom, then I could see how people wouldn't like it but the exposure to our program would be great if it were on ESPN.

Yes Thursday night games kick butt and we need more especially if they are on ESPN

We should cut a deal with ESPN that if ISU does a conference home game on Thursday night, they have to pick up our first game of the year on Thursday night.
I think it would be great for ISU to get established as kicking off the college football season every year with the Thursday night game on ESPN. It could become a tradition unique to Iowa State and eventually might be a big deal if CPR can advance the program to a national level.

People always complain that we don't get enough national exposure. If a Thursday night conference game means we're on ESPN, I'm all for it.

Re: Do you want Thursday night games?
I live in Ames and work out of state, so Thursday nite games are a bit difficult for me. I usually fly home on Wednesday evening and take two days of vacation for the first game (Thu b4 Labor Day).
I would do the same for other Thursday games, but not my preference. I can usually make it back for Saturday games (I've missed only 2 home games since 2005) even while being out of state every week.
