Jeff Woody
He's another SEP walk-on like Jesse Smith that was a great high school player that we got to walk on. I see from the roster that he's still at running back and is now 6-1 220. Just wondering if anybody in the know thinks he could see the field at rb someday, or if he needs to make a position switch to contribute. Looks to have good size for a big safety if he's got the speed or linebacker.

Re: Jeff Woody
Maybe he is the next Toby Gerhart. -

Re: Jeff Woody
Woody was a beast with speed in high school, but another Gerhart? That would be nice.

I think he should try out at LB

Re: Jeff Woody
I could see him heading to the defensive side of the ball. Free Safety....if he still has the wheels....and at 220...that is some good size to hit.

Or before that Randall Cunningham, or before that Warren Moon, or before that Doug Williams, or before that...

Re: Jeff Woody
Woody is really a north south runner, a line pounder if you will. His MO from high school was to run the ball a few times getting 3 to 5 yards then he would break through the line and get 30 to 40. Woody has great speed in the open and finishes his runs by making a TD or running defenders over. His one weakness is the ability to run east west and make a quick cut. He would make a great LB or DE if moved to defense.

Re: Jeff Woody
Someone needs to hook up a highlight vid so we can see who he does resemble. Perhaps it is Gerhardt. Maybe it's Shonn Greene. Maybe it's Barry Sanders.
