Scout on Fox rates ISU 2010 class 61st
Florida 1 Oklahoma 2 Iowa 42 ISU 61 Scout.com: Football Recruiting
SEC was best conference followed by Big Twelve. No surprise there.

Re: Scout on Fox rates ISU 2010 class 61st
The good news is we were ahead of Colorado and K-State in the Big 12 and almost as high as Baylor who was at 58th. Recruiting has definitely picked up under Rhoads.

Scout sucks. Really no other way to put it.

Re: Scout on Fox rates ISU 2010 class 61st
We are tied for 49th right now on Rivals.

Re: Scout on Fox rates ISU 2010 class 61st
If you click on iowa state it shows the commits, and it says josh lenz. they obviously have no idea he has already been here for a year

Re: Scout on Fox rates ISU 2010 class 61st
Scout really has been going downhill for a long time now. If you check out past lists of prospects, you'll see rivals has been far more accurate in predicting who has turned out well and become pro prospects.

Re: Scout on Fox rates ISU 2010 class 61st
Let's See:
5 years ago, we ranked #98 and they finished at 7-6. So
#61 class should equal a 9-3 mark in 5 yrs. I'll take it.

Re: Scout on Fox rates ISU 2010 class 61st
Great 1st full year recruiting class for PR. We look like we are getting a lot of solid recruits. I hope a couple of these guys turn out to be game changer type players, like a Danario Alexander from Mizzio(2 star recruit), a guy that at any time against any opponent can blow-up with 1 or 2 momentum changing plays or a D-Lineman that the opponent has to know where they are at all times. I don't think I am asking for a lot.

Looks like they will have some recruits in this weekend Kenneth Kirksey and Adrain Golden. Both could be added to this class.

Re: Scout on Fox rates ISU 2010 class 61st
Just so everyone can get a feel for how Rivals is ranking the Big XII right now...
#2. Texas (13-1)..................22 recruits
#5. Oklahoma (8-5)...............28 recruits
#10. Texas A&M (6-7)...........24 recruits
#14. Missouri (8-5)...............24 recruits
#23. Oklahoma St. (9-4)........27 recruits
#30. Nebraska (10-4)............18 recruits
#34. Texas Tech (9-4)..........23 recruits
#47. Baylor (4-8)..................18 recruits
#49. Iowa St. (7-6)...............25 recruits
#56. Kansas (5-7).................16 recruits
#57. Kansas St. (6-6)............13 recruits
#58. Colorado (3-9)...............18 recruits
#37. Iowa (11-2)...................19 recruits
It's a nice change from being ranked consistently at the bottom of the league. It'll be fun to see what these guys can do on the field next year, as well as how Rhoads & Co. can do with a full recruiting season after they've proven they're heading in a positive direction...

Re: Scout on Fox rates ISU 2010 class 61st
Numbers are also a big part of the rankings and CU, KU, KSU, Baylor & NU all have very small classes this year.

How does Missouri get that good of recruits?

They got six of the top eleven as rated by rivals from Missouri, with four of those being 4 stars.
I also added the number of recruits each school has (thanks for pointing that out trajan) to my previous post to see who still has room to add recruits and maybe make a move in the rankings.

Re: Scout on Fox rates ISU 2010 class 61st
I know in KU's case they are going to have a small class because not very many graduates or departures from this years class. Next years class should be a lot bigger. That actually works out for Gill since he didn't have much time to recruit this year. I also know that more numbers helps your ranking so KU's class is going to be pretty low this year.
It's kind of weird, KU's best players and most of KU's NFL players were all ranked very low out of high school and their higher ranked players didn't pan out.

True, they have some smaller schools, but not a big one. Secondly, consider the relative size of each state's population and the big city areas that Mizzou has to recruit in, KC and St. L.
