Stephens & Others draft spots
When do you think Reggie Stephens will be drafted? And if you think others will be drafted, who and when?
-
Re: Stephens & Others draft spots
I don't see another player outside him getting drafted. Not sure on where I see him.

Re: Stephens & Others draft spots
He probably will in the later rounds. Playing both guard and center certainly helps his draft stock. Brandtner might have have a possibility in the seventh round. Nothing like a good punter competition in the mini camps.

Re: Stephens & Others draft spots
Reggie will go between the 4th and 6th rounds IMO. I don't see anyone else getting drafted however the next most LIKELY would be Brandtner

What about anyone signing as Free Agents

Iowa has always put on a terrific Pro day and their kids have shown well. As a result they have put a lot of kids in via free agency. I mention only because Paul Rhoads and staff seem very similar in their approach to KF and staff. If they get a reputation as hard nosed kids who work hard on the field and in the weight room, they'll start getting more kids looked at on reputation alone.
As for Jesse I don't know how a kid that was that productive wouldn't as least get a look. I assure you there are NFL Lbers right now who aren't any faster than him.

Re: Stephens & Others draft spots
A Sporting News article wasn't very flattering after the Shrine Bowl. LOSERS Reggie Stephens, G, Iowa State. Stephens became an interesting prospect after his strong game against Nebraska, but he hurt his stock by struggling during his time in Orlando. He looked slow and unathletic trying to move his feet and block. He bent at the waist, frequently overextended and missed blocks. He also wound up on the ground too often. Stephens had been viewed as a late-round pick who could move up with a strong spring; after this week it is more likely he will go undrafted. Re: Stephens & Others draft spots
Look higher. That was already quoted in the thread.
I could see Catlett before Hamilton. Catlett is already a TE, is not afraid to get physica, and can put on a few more pounds to become a primarily blocking TE.

Re: Stephens & Others draft spots
Hamilton and Lyle got Barnstormer written all over them.

Lyle
Hamilton
Brandtner
Je Smith
